Pursue Your Unique Inquiries

We want all students to have the opportunity to explore their interests within and outside the classroom. 39°84°  West fosters student directed learning and independent study by a process of peer cooperation and mentoring. Western Mentors are trained student workers, that assist their peers in understanding the inquiry process. Western Mentors guide students through their projects from idea generation to execution.

Be Part of a Community

We want to enhance the student experience. Western Ambassadors achieve this by planning events and maintaining 39°84° West for use by all students. Some events are Western traditions such as Ernst Fall Fest, an outdoor music festival, and community dinners. However, new events are planned all the time. If you have a great event idea, let us know! No matter what event you attend, you will experience an inlcusive and open-minded environment.
